I. Magnin Building | Oakland, CA
Centrally situated in downtown Oakland, the former I. Magnin building is well-known for its distinctive green terra cotta and black marble façade. A classic art deco structure, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. SRM acquired the 64,000-square foot building in May of 2000 and completed a comprehensive rehabilitation that included an award-winning seismic upgrade, brand new electrical/mechanical and data systems and new interior finishes. The result was an open, creative, modern work environment within one of Oakland’s most recognized historic structures.
